Splinterlands is a decentralized collectible card game built on the Steem blockchain. It was previously known as Steem Monsters, but it has been revamped to offer a new battle system. It’s similar to other trading card games like Hearthstone and Magic but focuses instead on deck building and strategic battle preparations. You can also complete daily quests or join in tournaments where you can work with guilds and earn cryptocurrencies.
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is an epic, online multiplayer fantasy game where players activate and trade in cards. The premise is that there is a chaotic world at war, and you need to fight for it day in and day out. Splinterland is transparent in showing the blockchain’s distributed ledger, which enables you to see how many of each card exists in the game. This means each card is individually owned - even creators cannot take them from the player.
Every user can buy, sell, or trade cards online. Each car has its own Stats, which are the core attributes of the character. You can review a character’s stats by clicking on Your Collection. These will change over time as your character’s rank increases. You can also click on the card and select the second tab labeled Stats. A chart will appear that shows you the Stat increases and Ability unlocks per level.
Each character can contribute something unique to the team, so it is important to consider their strengths when creating a strategy. You will notice that there are certain splinters that specialize in highly specific abilities. This allows you to have exclusive access to their powers. Another tip is to understand the terrain. A battlefield consists of two rows and six positions. The delivery of your force depends on how you utilize their positions and anticipate the opposing team.
